Naples Police issue 19 stadium access bans
The Police Commissioner of Naples has issued 19 stadium access bans (DASPO) following various incidents of violence and misconduct at sporting events. The bans, which range in duration from 2 to 6 years, were prepared by the Anti-Crime Police Division.
Among the measures, five individuals aged 23 to 64 received 2-year bans following a match between A.C.D. Santa Maria la Carità and Virtus Sibilla Bacoli on May 2. These individuals were accused of damaging a metal barrier, entering the locker room area, and using violent and intimidating behavior to force players to surrender their uniforms.
Other bans include: - A 2-year ban for a 38-year-old who ignited a smoke bomb during a Napoli-Como match on August 30. - A 4-year and a 6-year ban for two individuals involved in separate incidents, including one person who climbed over barriers during a Napoli-Bologna match and another who assaulted a steward and injured a police officer during a Juve Stabia-Cesena match.
In total, 19 measures have been adopted to address offenses including trespassing, insults, threats, and resistance to public officials.
