Naples Prefect Michele di Bari awarded honorary citizenship by Mattinata

Naples Prefect Michele di Bari was presented with honorary citizenship by the municipality of Mattinata in the Gargano region of Italy. The ceremony took place at 18:30 in the Sala Consiliare of the National Archaeological Museum "M. Sansone".

Following the award, the prefect delivered a lectio magistralis titled "Mattinata, 4 August 1955 – The recognition of a community: history of municipal autonomy and the values of the Republican Constitution." The honor acknowledges his long service to the state, including his previous role as commissario prefettizio of the nearby town of Monte Sant'Angelo.

Local entrepreneur Donato Taronna, owner of a historic bakery in Monte Sant'Angelo, posted a congratulatory message on Facebook, praising di Bari’s close relationship with the community and his professional dedication.
