Naples promotes international tourism and America’s Cup 2027

The City of Naples is advancing its international tourism strategy through high-level B2B engagements and major sporting events. During the second edition of the ‘Live Napoli’ workshop held at Maschio Angioino, local tourism operators met with 33 international buyers from 16 countries, including representatives from the United States, United Kingdom, Asia, South America, and South Africa.

This initiative, coordinated by the city's DMO and promoted by the Department of Tourism, aims to expand the city's presence in the leisure, luxury, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors. The strategy also emphasizes the importance of the 38th America’s Cup, scheduled to take place in Naples in 2027, as a key driver for increasing global visibility and developing maritime-based tourism.

At the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini, officials highlighted a vision that integrates Naples' cultural and archaeological heritage with its maritime traditions and sports opportunities. The goal is to leverage the momentum from large-scale events to create sustainable travel opportunities and promote less traditional tourist routes.
