Naples reports increased public disturbances and street violence

Naples is experiencing heightened security concerns following reports of public disturbances and violence. In the Piazza Poderico and Camillo Porzio areas, local official Enrico Cella has filed a formal complaint regarding groups of youths on scooters. These individuals are reportedly performing dangerous maneuvers in pedestrian zones and using pellet guns in crowded areas, causing significant distress to residents and local businesses.

In a separate incident in the Fuorigrotta district, a dispute over traffic led to a stabbing. A 38-year-old driver was attacked with a sharp object following a verbal altercation with three individuals on via Mario Gigante. The victim sought medical treatment at San Paolo hospital and was subsequently discharged. Local police have launched investigations to identify the suspects and clarify the circumstances of the assault.
