Naples to host Caravaggio Prize and international art exhibitions

The sixth edition of the Caravaggio Prize is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026, at the Auditorium Porta del Parco in Bagnoli, Naples. The initiative aims to highlight the historical and artistic connection between the master painter Caravaggio and the city of Naples, which houses significant works such as the ‘Seven Works of Mercy’ at Pio Monte della Misericordia and the ‘Flagellation of Christ’ at the Capodimonte Museum.

In a separate cultural development, the itinerant exhibition ‘Pack&Go’ is arriving in Rome and Naples as part of the HIC ET NUNC n. 5 workshop. This project, part of the 12th edition of the Art Residency Project (ARP) promoted by the Luigi Di Sarro Center with support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, features six young artists from France, Italy, Germany, and Uganda. The exhibition utilizes small, portable analog works to explore themes of resilience and contemporary fragility through a mobile, eco-conscious approach to art logistics.
