Naples to host KYMA content industry summit in September

The first edition of KYMA – Storie che prendono il largo will take place on September 23 and 24 at the Palazzo Reale in Naples. Part of the ‘Napoli Città Mondo’ project promoted by the Comitato Neapolis 2500, the event aims to strengthen the city's international standing through culture, diplomacy, and business.

The hub will bring together institutional representatives and key figures from the publishing, audiovisual, production, and innovation sectors. Key topics include the role of cultural industries in the Mediterranean and Europe, European co-productions, the impact of artificial intelligence on audiovisual storytelling, and the evolution of audience tastes.

Specific sessions will feature leaders such as Innocenzo Cipolletta, president of the Associazione Italiana Editori, and executives from Mondadori Libri and Gruppo editoriale Mauri Spagnol. The program also includes a look at the 30th anniversary of the series ‘Un posto al sole’ and discussions on the transition of books to screen media.
