Naples to host National Convention of Italian Catholic Missions in Germany

The National Convention of Italian Catholic Missions in Germany is scheduled to take place in Naples from September 21 to 25, 2026. Under the theme ‘Beyond Borders. Being Church Wherever You Go,’ the event will address migration, interculturality, and the future of Italian communities abroad.

The conference will bring together representatives from Italian and German Catholic missions, scholars, journalists, and migration experts to discuss the evolving nature of Italian mobility. Key participants include Monsignor Pierpaolo Felicolo of the Migrantes Foundation, Don Gregorio Milone, and Cardinal Domenico Battaglia, Archbishop of Naples.

Discussions will include a historical and socio-economic analysis of migration between Campania and Germany, presented by Professor Francesco Dandolo of the University of Naples Federico II, alongside journalistic perspectives on the connection between the two nations.
