Napoli and Inter identified as Serie A title favorites

Former Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has identified Inter and Napoli as the favorites for the Serie A title, though he cautioned against premature conclusions regarding the league standings. Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Benitez noted that the landscape could shift significantly within a few weeks due to upcoming international fixtures and the fact that the season is still in its early stages.

Benitez also commented on the tactical situation in the league, suggesting that upcoming matches could quickly alter the top four positions. He specifically mentioned the importance of upcoming fixtures for Napoli and the potential impact of results involving teams like Roma and Inter.

In a separate discussion regarding Napoli's squad, former sports director Enrico Fedele expressed strong criticism of defender Rafa Marin. Despite some positive assessments following a match against Bologna, Fedele argued that Marin has not yet shown sufficient defensive progress, specifically citing issues with marking and game reading. While acknowledging the player's potential, Fedele disputed claims that Marin was among the best performers in recent play.
