Napoli faces Bodo/Glimt amid Champions League crisis

Napoli enters a critical Champions League League Phase match against Norway's Bodo/Glimt at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Italian club is currently experiencing a significant slump, having lost five of their last nine matches across all competitions, including a recent Serie A defeat to Venezia and two losses in the Champions League against Arsenal and Villarreal.

Head coach Massimiliano Allegri has called for a “big performance” to reverse the team's fortunes, noting that the squad must remain calm and work in silence to overcome the current instability. While Napoli is considered the favorite due to a squad valued at over €400 million, Bodo/Glimt arrives with high morale following a victory over Borussia Dortmund and a reputation for challenging major European sides.

Key tactical considerations for Allegri include the fitness of Scott McTominay, which may dictate whether the team employs a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation. Goalkeeper Alex Meret has also emphasized the need for group unity and defensive solidity to secure their first points of the European campaign.
