Napoli Basket signs top scorer Jahmi'us Ramsey for 2026‑27 season

Napoli Basket announced the signing of American guard Jahmi'us Ramsey for the 2026‑27 campaign. Ramsey, born in Arlington, Texas in 2001, played college basketball at Texas Tech, was selected 43rd overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2020 NBA draft and spent several seasons in the NBA and its G‑League. After moving to Europe, he spent the 2025‑26 season with Pallacanestro Trieste, finishing as the Serie A top scorer with 19.3 points per game and debuting in the Basketball Champions League, which earned him a call‑up to the U.S. national team for the FIBA AmeriCup.

The club also presented its new season in Palazzo San Giacomo, highlighting a return to the EuroCup after a 20‑year absence and the launch of Napoli Women Basketball in Serie A2. Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, sport assessor Emanuela Ferrante, club president Matt Rizzetta and GM James Laughlin took part, outlining plans to upgrade the PalaBarbuto arena and pursue further infrastructure projects.

Ramsey’s arrival is described as a major boost to Napoli’s roster as the team aims to compete on both domestic and European fronts.
