Openjobmetis Varese wins Trofeo Basilicata title

Openjobmetis Varese won the Trofeo Basilicata basketball tournament held in Matera, defeating BC Roma with a score of 96-92 in the final on September 13, 2026.

Despite playing without Amedeo Della Valle and Keifer Hale, Varese managed a significant second-half comeback. After trailing 31-25 in the first quarter and 58-45 at halftime, the team increased their intensity. Key performances included 23 points from David Duke and 22 points from Davide Alviti, who was named MVP. Nikolic also contributed 12 points to the victory.

BC Roma led for much of the first half, driven by Nico Mannion, but struggled to maintain momentum in the final stages. Napoli Basketball secured third place by defeating Basket Scafati 106-88 during the tournament proceedings.
