Napoli Capodichino Airport to close in November 2026 for runway works
Napoli Capodichino Airport will close from November 1 to November 30, 2026, to undergo radical and scheduled runway redevelopment works. GESAC, the company managing the Naples and Salerno airports, stated these interventions are necessary to ensure required safety standards.
During this period, the Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport will serve as a temporary hub, absorbing a significant portion of the flights normally operated from Naples. While Salerno has a lower capacity and cannot fully replace Naples, several airlines have already begun reorganizing their schedules.
Confirmed or expected routes operating from Salerno during the closure include: - Iberia (Madrid) - flydubai (Dubai) - easyJet (Milan Malpensa) - Eurowings (Düsseldorf and Stuttgart) - Luxair (Luxembourg) - Neos (Sharm el-Sheikh) - Transavia (Amsterdam) - Transavia France (Paris Orly) - Vueling (Barcelona)
Travelers are advised to carefully check their departure airports and flight schedules, as some airlines may also reroute connections to Milan Linate.
