Napoli pursue defender Badiashile while Lukaku's exit gains momentum
Napoli are close to completing a loan deal for French centre‑back Benoît Badiashile from Chelsea, with a reported loan fee of €3 million and a future purchase option in the €15‑18 million range. The club is also evaluating an alternative defensive signing, Moroccan centre‑back Nayef Aguerd from Olympique Marseille, on a similar loan‑with‑option structure. As the defensive overhaul proceeds, Spanish defender Rafa Marín is expected to be sold after falling down the pecking order.
Striker Romelu Lukaku is set to leave Napoli; several clubs have shown interest, most prominently AS Monaco, which is reportedly prepared to meet a €10 million fee.
