Napoli coach Allegri discusses Højlund rotation and De Bruyne

Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri has addressed squad rotation and player relations following a 1-3 Champions League defeat to Villarreal. Allegri indicated that striker Rasmus Højlund may be rested for the upcoming match against Venezia, noting the player's heavy workload. He suggested Lorenzo Lucca could be a candidate to start instead.

Allegri also dismissed rumors of tension with midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who had reportedly declined instructions to play a more defensive role during the match against Villarreal.

The manager emphasized the need for the team to improve ball control and mental resilience during difficult periods. Regarding injuries, Allegri confirmed that André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Mathias Olivera, and Alisson Santos are available. However, David Neres remains sidelined due to ongoing injury issues, while Antonio Vergara and Constantino Favuzzi are making progress in their recovery.
