SSC Napoli launches centenary season as Allegri appointment looms
SSC Napoli has officially opened the year‑long celebration of its centenary. The programme, dubbed “Pe’ cient’anne”, will run from the unveiling of the Home 2026/27 kit on 6 July aboard the MSC World Europa through a subscription campaign starting 10 July, fan‑village installations at Castel di Sangro and Dimaro, and a major city‑wide event on 1 August. A documentary film and a partnership with the Treccani encyclopedia will accompany the festivities, linking the club’s history with cultural projects.
In parallel, the club is finalising its sporting direction. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is expected to confirm Massimiliano Allegri as manager, with a contract exceeding €4 million per season and a new coaching staff. Director of football Giovanni Manna has outlined a market strategy that requires off‑loading players such as Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca before pursuing a targeted striker, American forward Ricardo Pepi, reportedly priced around €30 million. Other potential moves include examining the futures of Vanja Milinković‑Savić, André‑Frank Zambo Anguissa and several loaned‑out players. The club aims to shape a squad capable of competing for the Champions League while respecting its financial parameters.
