SSC Napoli training center project faces urban planning hurdles in Qualiano

SSC Napoli is pursuing plans to build a new training center in Qualiano, though the project faces significant administrative and logistical hurdles. While club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has publicly expressed interest in the area, reports indicate that negotiations for land acquisition are not yet in an advanced stage.

The proposed site consists of private agricultural land located near via Ripuaria, offering strategic connections to the Phlegraean area and local transit axes. To facilitate the transition from agricultural to sports use, the project may require the intervention of the Special Economic Zone (ZES), which provides specific procedures for strategic infrastructure.

Preliminary estimates suggest the land could be acquired for approximately 13 to 13.50 euros per square meter, totaling roughly 2.5 million euros. However, the project remains in the preliminary stages, as official design and final authorizations cannot proceed until the land acquisition and urban planning constraints are resolved.
