Napoli forward Giovane discusses new season and coaching under Allegri

Brazilian striker Giovane (born 2003) spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli during the team's preseason camp in Dimaro. He said he is “happy with the training camp” after a month‑and‑a‑half break, noting some fatigue on the first day but that the squad feels physically fine now.

He compared the new manager Massimiliano Allegri with former coach Antonio Conte, stating “each coach has different methods” and that Allegri’s approach is distinct. Giovane expressed a desire to earn playing time, preferring the right‑wing position but also being comfortable as a second striker or centre‑forward. He praised Napoli’s “very strong squad” and highlighted the multilingual camaraderie with teammates. The forward also thanked the fans in Dimaro, hoping the side will win the upcoming match against Carrarese and start the season strongly.
