Napoli legends discuss club ties and Allegri's tactics

Former SSC Napoli captain Marek Hamsik recently reflected on his career and his deep connection to the club while receiving the Artis Suavitas 2026 award. Hamsik stated that his decision to commit to Napoli was natural and noted that he has turned down other Italian and international clubs to maintain his bond with the city. Regarding his future, he mentioned that a role as a director is not excluded and that he remains in contact with the club president, though he is currently focused on work in Slovakia.

In discussions regarding the current team under manager Max Allegri, former defender Marco Zamboni shared his views on the team's tactical approach. While acknowledging the importance of securing victories, Zamboni criticized the emphasis on playing out from the back. He argued that the current strategy can lead to mistakes and suggested that a more direct style of play would be more effective in attacking opponents rather than risking possession in defensive areas.
