Napoli monitoring AS Monaco midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly

Napoli is reportedly monitoring AS Monaco midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly as a potential reinforcement for their midfield. The 2002-born French player has attracted interest due to his tactical versatility, physical strength, and ability to play both as a central pivot and a box-to-box midfielder.

While Napoli is tracking the player, they face significant competition from several European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Brentford, and Newcastle. Currently, no formal offers have been submitted, though inquiries may increase ahead of the January transfer window.

Any potential move remains difficult as AS Monaco views Coulibaly as a key part of their long-term project. The club has valued the player between 35 and 40 million euros and is working to secure him with a contract extension through 2030.
