Napoli move to sign 21‑year‑old defender Tiago Gabriel from Lecce
Napoli are preparing a bid for Portuguese centre‑back Tiago Gabriel, 21, currently at Serie A side Lecce. Lecce have set a price of around €20–30 million as his contract expires next summer, and the club says any buyer would be “making a deal”.
Napoli’s new coach Massimiliano Allegri sees Gabriel as a key defensive reinforcement, especially after recent injuries. The player is represented by Jorge Mendes, the same agent who handles Cristiano Ronaldo, which has drawn interest from other Italian and foreign clubs such as Milan.
