Napoli negotiates contract renewal for midfielder Scott McTominay

Italian club Napoli is actively negotiating a new contract for Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay. The player is on vacation after Scotland’s exit from the World Cup and is expected to return in early August, when talks on a salary increase are set to intensify.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri has said McTominay is a central figure in the club’s project and Napoli aims to keep him among the highest‑paid members of the squad, behind Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. Although clubs such as Real Madrid have shown interest, Napoli has so far rejected any external offers.
