Napoli president confirms new stadium site in San Giovanni a Teduccio

Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of SSC Napoli, has confirmed that the club's new stadium will be located in the San Giovanni a Teduccio area. This decision follows a meeting with executives from Kuwait Petroleum Italia to discuss the project.

The proposed masterplan, designed by the Gau Arena studio, features a 70,000-seat capacity stadium including skyboxes, parking facilities, public parks, and updated road infrastructure. Land reclamation efforts at the former refinery site in San Giovanni a Teduccio are reportedly nearing completion following an investment of nearly 100 million euros.

De Laurentiis has officially moved away from the possibility of renovating the existing stadium in Fuorigrotta, stating that planned municipal works would not be sufficient to meet modern European stadium standards. The club aims to finalize the financial framework and specific project details, including costs per square meter, by the end of the year.
