Napoli president De Laurentiis advances stadium and training‑centre plans as former Napoli director moves to Bari

Aurelio De Laurentiis, operating from the United States, is closely supervising two major projects for SSC Napoli. He is negotiating with the municipality of Pozzuoli over the Monterusciello site to develop a new training centre, exploring options such as concession, convention or Zes Unica incentives. Parallel talks concern a possible new stadium on the former Q8 refinery land in San Giovanni a Teduccio, with the site’s decontamination expected to finish in the autumn and discussions ongoing with Kuwait Oil, the municipality and technical staff.

At the same time, former Napoli director of football Pierpaolo Marino has been confirmed as the new general manager of Bari. Marino will soon appoint a sporting director – candidates include Vairae Meluso – and choose a head coach as the club rebuilds after its recent Serie C relegation.
