Napoli President Evaluates Afragola Site for New Sports Complex

Mayor Giustino of Afragola told Radio CRC that SSC Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is considering a 4‑kilometre macroarea near the TAV railway station for a new sports complex. The site is close to highways and an airport 6 minutes away, giving Afragola a logistical advantage over other municipalities.

Giustino emphasized that the project is still in an embryonic stage, that no municipal land is being offered and that the acquisition would be a private transaction. The town will work to streamline the necessary procedures and expects another technical meeting with the club’s patron by Friday or Saturday to discuss regulatory aspects. No discussions about a new stadium were mentioned.
