Napoli pursued Franco Mastantuono during summer transfer window

Napoli reportedly expressed interest in Argentine player Franco Mastantuono during the summer transfer window. Napoli director Giovanni Manna contacted the player's agents to gather information and evaluate the feasibility of a move.

However, a permanent transfer did not materialize due to several factors. Napoli was reportedly unwilling to accept a loan deal, as Real Madrid—who signed the player for 45 million euros—only considers loaning him to allow for further development. Additionally, Napoli faced internal market constraints, including the requirement to complete player sales before making new acquisitions.

Mastantuono is currently on a one-year loan at Fiorentina. After an initial period of limited playing time, he recently improved his form, including scoring a hat trick in a recent match. Real Madrid is expected to review his situation following the conclusion of his loan next summer.
