Napoli signs McTominay to new contract as Allegri takes charge

Napoli are preparing a new contract for Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay, extending his deal beyond its 2028 expiry with a salary raise. The club highlighted his ten league goals and fourteen in all competitions last season, describing him as a technical and character leader under former coach Antonio Conte. McTominay is currently on holiday in Ibiza with his partner, where he has been following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as Napoli’s new manager. He expressed support for Allegri and indicated his readiness to work with the new coach, although he will miss the first part of pre‑season training in Trentino to rest after recent international duties.
