Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca sidelined for up to a month
Napoli forward Lorenzo Lucca suffered a low‑grade injury to the anterior talofibular ligament of his ankle during a pre‑season friendly against Arezzo. Medical examinations indicated the damage will require a rest period of roughly two weeks to a month, with the club planning a gradual return during the upcoming training camp at Castel di Sangro.
While Lucca recovers, coach Massimiliano Allegri has reshuffled the attacking line‑up, recalling Moroccan striker Walid Cheddira to provide cover. The move comes as fellow striker Romelu Lukaku remains unavailable, leaving Napoli with limited central‑forward options during the crucial pre‑season phase.
