Napoli and Celta Vigo draw 1-1 in preseason friendly

Napoli and Celta Vigo played to a 1-1 draw in a preseason friendly match held at the Teofilo Patini stadium in Castel di Sangro.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo opened the scoring for Napoli in the 11th minute, converting a header following a corner kick. Napoli controlled much of the first half, with Di Lorenzo also hitting the crossbar. However, Celta Vigo equalized in the 65th minute through Ferran Jutglà, who capitalized on a defensive error involving goalkeeper Alex Meret and Kevin De Bruyne.

Following the equalizer, Napoli attempted to regain the lead through opportunities by Lorenzo Lucca, but failed to convert. The match also saw the debut of Abdoulaye Faye for Celta Vigo. On a medical note, Napoli defender Luigi Marianucci was forced to leave the pitch due to an injury.

In post-match comments, Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo praised the team's progress under manager Massimiliano Allegri, stating, "We know we are a strong team... there is the desire to do a great championship, to make a beautiful journey in Champions and also in Coppa Italia."
