Napoli trims squad: Zerbin set to leave, Vergara rejected despite 25‑million offer

The first likely exit is forward Alessio Zerbin, who is expected to return to newly‑promoted Serie A side Frosinone, where he previously played on loan.

Despite the broader sell‑off, Napoli has refused a €25 million bid from Atalanta for 20‑year‑old midfielder Antonio Vergara. The offer, presented by Atalanta sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli under coach Maurizio Sarri’s direction, was declined immediately, with the club declaring the young talent untouchable and not for sale.
