Napoli unveils multi‑sport expansion while Vicenza region finalizes football draft dates

Matt Rizzetta, president of Napoli Basket, is extending the city’s sports project to include volleyball. A provisional agreement with Virtus Volley Napoli will bring the A2 men’s team into a new multi‑sport company, giving Rizzetta majority ownership while the volleyball group continues sporting management. The plan targets promotion to the Superlega within two seasons, a level the city has not reached for about thirty years. Formalisation is expected by the end of July.

In the Veneto region, the football federation announced that official re‑draft selections will be communicated on 25 July, after the regional committee reviews registrations and mergers on 24 July. Clubs presented new squads, signings and friendly schedules, including Eros De Santis joining FC Arzignano Valchiampo and numerous youth and senior team updates across local leagues.
