Napoli's transfer strategy and Corvino urges reforms in Italian football

Pasquale Salvione, online coordinator for Corriere dello Sport, explained on Radio Punto Zero that Napoli’s transfer market is deliberately stalled because the club’s roster is already close to 50 registered players. He said the club prefers to trim the squad before making new signings and praised head coach Massimiliano Allegri as a reliable manager who can guide the group.

Former Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino argued that Italian clubs sometimes have to recruit foreign players due to financial constraints and a lack of emerging domestic talent. He called the current system outdated, urging reforms by federation leaders to modernise youth development and give the national team a stronger pool of players.
