Nara Smith shares daughter Whimsy's remission from cancer

Social‑media creator Nara Smith, 24, spoke on the Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper about her two‑year‑old daughter Whimsy's cancer diagnosis, the family’s treatment journey and the child’s recent remission. Smith described a lingering fear that hospital videos or photos could be posted online without consent, but said the experience also showed her the value of community support. She explained that after Whimsy completed chemotherapy and rang the treatment bell, she chose to use her platform to help other families feel less alone.

Smith’s husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, and their other children – Rumble Honey, Slim Easy, newborn Fawnie Golden and stepdaughter Gravity Blue – were also mentioned as part of the family’s routine during the illness. Smith praised the comfort she found from nurses, other parents and online forums such as Reddit.

Red Door Community, a nonprofit that offers free support groups and educational resources for anyone impacted by cancer, highlighted Smith’s story as an example of how sharing experiences can reduce isolation and improve emotional well‑being for patients and their families.
