Narciso Pisacreta runs for AIA presidency

Narciso Pisacreta has announced his candidacy for the presidency of the Associazione Italiana Arbitri (AIA), ahead of the elective assembly scheduled for October 10. The former vice president of the association stated that his goals include focusing on refereeing technique, reforms, independence, and credibility.

Pisacreta is the second candidate to declare his run, following Francesco Massini, the current deputy of the association. Pisacreta emphasized the need to provide stability to the environment and support various sections to strengthen their sense of belonging. He also noted that while technology is indispensable, it must be used appropriately so that the referee remains the central figure on the pitch.

Regarding the competitive nature of the election, Pisacreta remarked that while he would have preferred a single candidacy representing all perspectives, he respects the democratic process for the two-year mandate.
