Narcotics Control Bureau trains 26 Maharashtra police officers as master trainers

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) completed a five‑day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme in Ghaziabad from 27‑31 July 2026, training 26 Maharashtra police officers of inspector rank and above to serve as master trainers for enforcement of the NDPS Act. With the two programmes now concluded, Maharashtra’s police force has 56 master trainers to strengthen drug‑related law‑enforcement across the state.

The ToT followed earlier sessions held in April 2026 and coincided with state‑level Joint Coordination Committee meetings in Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal) and Assam (Guwahati). Those meetings addressed coordinated action against drug trafficking, joint investigations, financial probes and intelligence sharing among agencies such as NIA, SBI, IT, customs, CBn, RPF and state prosecution departments.
