Nardò inaugurates new public garden and launches Festival Déco

A newly renovated urban garden on via XX Settembre in Nardò was opened to the public. The project, carried out by Tecnomec Engineering of Grumo Appula, was financed with an €8.4 million PNRR grant and includes a park area, a free parking zone with 100 spaces and a 30‑slot motorbike area, sustainable paving, lighting and video surveillance. The garden also features an 85‑metre mural that narrates the town’s history.

The same week, Nardò began its 22nd edition of the Festival Déco, a cultural event that starts at the historic Palazzo Personè castle and its adjoining botanical garden. The festival runs from 29 July to 5 September, offering guided tours of historic villas in Nardò and nearby towns, botanical presentations, and evening aperitivos.
