Narendra Modi adopts digital communication to engage Gen-Z

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is adopting new communication strategies to connect with the younger generation, specifically Gen-Z. By utilizing social media and mobile platforms, the Prime Minister has shifted from traditional large-scale stage speeches to direct digital engagement. This approach was highlighted following recent youth unrest regarding paper leaks, where a video message addressing young people as ‘friends’ was used to manage public sentiment.

In Gujarat, recent events saw youth engagement through digital creativity, including posters designed on mobile screens. Additionally, a new initiative called ‘Mangal Milan’ has been introduced. This program involves weekly meetings every Tuesday where Members of Parliament can discuss new ideas and engage in open dialogue to better connect with students and the youth regarding government efforts.
