Narendra Modi and Sharad Pawar meet at wedding reception

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were seen together at a wedding reception for Revati Sule, the granddaughter of Sharad Pawar, in Delhi. The event, held at Pawar’s residence, also drew prominent leaders from the opposition, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

The interaction occurs amid significant political speculation regarding the NCP (SP)’s stance on the central government’s proposed delimitation exercise and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) amendment. Earlier on the same day, NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule led eight party MPs in a formal meeting with Prime Minister Modi to submit a memorandum addressing regional issues such as the Pune-Nashik semi-high-speed rail project, farmer debt relief, and irrigation projects.

While the social gathering showcased a rare moment of proximity between top government leaders and opposition figures, Supriya Sule noted that the party will determine its position on the delimitation bill only after reviewing the draft and consulting with allies in the INDIA bloc.
