Narendra Modi highlights India’s infrastructure and logistics growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated at SEMICON India 2026 that India’s rapid infrastructure growth is strengthening the nation’s logistics and manufacturing sectors. He highlighted that the recent operationalization of approximately 3,000 kilometers of dedicated freight corridors will accelerate movement across the country and improve logistics capabilities.

Modi also noted progress in fintech, referencing recent discussions at the Global Fintech Fest regarding inclusive finance through quantum technology, tokenization, and agentic AI. He emphasized that improved connectivity and digital ecosystems are central to India’s development and its goal of becoming a self-reliant economy.
