Narendra Modi marks 12 years of Mann Ki Baat radio programme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 12th anniversary of his monthly radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, during its 139th episode. Describing the journey as a “pilgrimage,” Modi stated that the broadcast allows him to understand and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and spirit of service of ordinary Indian citizens.
During the address, the Prime Minister highlighted several community-led initiatives, including organic farming efforts by the ‘Kheti Virasat Mission’ in Punjab and the restoration of the Hewel River in Uttarakhand. He also emphasized the ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives, noting the rising importance of indigenous products and the growth of the Khadi sector.
Modi further discussed technological advancements, such as the brain-imaging research at IIT Madras using the ‘Param Shakti’ supercomputer, and encouraged citizens to participate in organ donation and the upcoming ‘Run for Unity’ on October 31. He also urged the public to maintain cleanliness in preparation for the Diwali and Chhath festivals.
