Narendra Modi presents Indian cultural gifts at G7 summit in France

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 52nd G7 summit in Evian, France, where he offered a selection of Indian heritage items to the group of world leaders. The gifts included Nagauri Ashwagandha from Rajasthan, Ramban honey from the Chenab Valley, Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya, and a hand‑woven Banarasi silk stole, each highlighting regional craftsmanship, GI‑tagged quality and sustainable agriculture.

During the summit, Modi emphasized India’s perspectives on governance, global security, artificial intelligence, energy transition and the priorities of the Global South, and held bilateral talks with several leaders. The presentation of the gifts was intended to showcase India’s cultural legacy and support rural livelihoods while reinforcing diplomatic ties with the G7 partners.
