Narendra Modi to meet Indian Asian Games medalists

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet members of India’s 2026 Asian Games contingent at his residence on October 15. The meeting aims to recognize the achievements of various athletes and medalists following India's performance at the continental event.

India finished fourth in the overall standings with 85 medals, including 21 golds. Notable successes included gold medals in cricket, hockey, kabaddi, and boxing. The men’s cricket team secured gold after defeating Pakistan in the final, while the women’s team won gold by defeating Sri Lanka. The men’s hockey team also successfully defended its title with a 5-1 victory over Malaysia.
