Narendra Modi's Instagram outreach and JP Nadda car claim both face scrutiny

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted his fifth Instagram video, aimed at 14‑ to 29‑year‑old students, in which he expressed a desire to forgive youths who used abusive language during protests. The video, released on the night of a police case against protester Ruchika Singh, follows earlier clips that amassed 90 crore views.

Separately, a viral social‑media post alleged that health minister JP Nadda was riding in Modi’s car during a public appearance. A fact‑check found the footage to be an old clip from 27 July 2024, showing Modi and Nadda arriving separately at the BJP headquarters. At that time Nadda was the party’s national president, not the health minister, and he was not in the same vehicle as the prime minister. The claim was therefore false.
