Narendra Singh Tomar proposes ‘Tarun Bharat’ term for youth

Narendra Singh Tomar, the Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, has advocated for using the term ‘Tarun Bharat’ (Young India) instead of ‘Gen-Z’ to describe the current younger generation. Speaking at the Indian Journalism Festival organized by the State Press Club in Indore, Tomar suggested that ‘Tarun Bharat’ is more appropriate within the context of Indian society and cultural traditions.

Tomar highlighted the remarkable achievements of India's youth in fields such as education, sports, science, technology, and startups. He noted that the energy and innovative capacity of the younger generation are contributing significantly to both national and global development. He emphasized that while generational shifts are natural, the new generation's ability to adopt new technologies and drive social and national progress is a source of great pride for the country.
