Narges Mohammadi releases memoirs on human rights struggle in Iran
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has released her memoirs, titled ‘Una lluita perpètua’ (A Perpetual Struggle), detailing her lifelong fight for democracy, women's liberation, and human dignity in Iran.
Mohammadi, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023, described her current situation as being under heavy pressure and control. Following a period of imprisonment and a heart attack suffered while in custody, her sentence was suspended due to her health, allowing her to return home. However, she remains under constant threat of being returned to prison. She noted that during her various periods of incarceration, she has spent a total of 161 days in solitary confinement.
