Nariño bakery project aims to support social inclusion for homeless individuals

The ‘Pan de Vida’ project has been launched in Nariño to promote the social inclusion and economic autonomy of approximately 50 homeless individuals. Linked to the Rescatados por su Sangre Foundation, the productive bakery initiative provides beneficiaries with necessary machinery, supplies, and professional training.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Pasto Mayor's Office, the Secretary of Gender Equity and Social Inclusion, SENA, the Rescatados por su Sangre Foundation, and voluntary donors. SENA will provide technical training in product manufacturing and bakery management to ensure the project's sustainability.

As part of the ‘Cerrando Brechas, Construyendo Paz’ strategy, the initiative aims to support resocialization and rehabilitation processes. In conjunction with the bakery launch, a comprehensive care day will be held at the foundation, offering medical attention and hygiene kits to participants.
