Nariño bus accident leaves four dead and 20 injured

A bus operated by Turismo Andino overturned on the Pan-American highway in the rural sector of Tangua, Nariño, resulting in four deaths and at least 20 injuries. The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, while the vehicle was transporting 39 passengers from Pasto toward Ecuador.

Three victims died at the scene, and a fourth succumbed to injuries at a medical center in Pasto. Among the deceased are two minors. Emergency services and transit authorities responded to the scene to rescue passengers and transport the injured to regional hospitals. Authorities are currently investigating the causes of the crash to determine why the vehicle left the road and overturned.
