NARKO TIR mobile drug awareness unit arrives in Elazığ

The NARKO TIR, a mobile narcotics education unit, has arrived in Elazığ for the first time to conduct drug and addiction awareness training. Coordinated by the General Directorate of Security under the Ministry of Interior, the initiative aims to increase social awareness across all 81 provinces of Turkey.

The mobile unit, which features a 40-square-meter modern education stand, utilizes six touchscreens to provide visual and practical demonstrations of the human and social impacts of addiction. During the opening ceremony at the Eski Öğretmen Evi location, Deputy Governor Ömer Faruk Ateş and Provincial Police Chief Aydın Karan emphasized the importance of early awareness in the fight against drugs.

Expert narcotics police are providing direct information to university students, families, and educators regarding the dangers of narcotics and methods for combating addiction. Local authorities noted that this mobile center complements ongoing coordinated inspections by police and gendarmerie teams near schools and surrounding areas.
