Narodna Sila committee nominates Dimov and Shivikov for presidency

The ‘Narodna Sila’ initiative committee has officially announced its candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in October. Associate Professor Georgi Dimov, a historian and medievalist, is running for president, while General Dimitar Shivikov has been nominated for vice president.

Dimov’s platform includes ten key priorities, most notably advocating for a policy of peace and neutrality, economic and financial sovereignty, and the restoration of dialogue with Russia. He also emphasizes national security, anti-corruption measures, and the protection of Bulgarian identity and traditional values.

General Shivikov expressed his commitment to providing a real alternative for the Bulgarian people. He noted his intention to visit Russia in his capacity as a former deputy prime minister and voiced views regarding the status of Crimea.
