Narodowe Czytanie celebrates Adam Mickiewicz’s “Dziady” across Poland

The 15th edition of Narodowe Czytanie, a nationwide Polish initiative promoting literature, focused on Adam Mickiewicz’s classic drama “Dziady”. The central event took place in Warsaw at Krakowskie Przedmieście, attended by President Karol Nawrocki and his spouse, Marta Nawrocka.

Local communities across Poland participated in the reading sessions. In Nakło nad Notecią, students at I LO im. Bolesława Krzywoustego performed readings of various parts of the drama within a themed setting. In Żabno, the event was held in the town square with participation from local officials, musicians, and residents. In Szepietowo, the Municipal Public Library organized a meeting to discuss the work and received an official commemorative seal from the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
