Narok County surveyor arrested in bribery scandal

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested a surveyor in Narok County, Joan Achieng Odumbe, for allegedly soliciting and receiving a bribe. The suspect is accused of demanding Ksh100,000 from a complainant to facilitate the identification of beacons between two parcels of land in Nairagie Enkare Sub-County.

Following preliminary investigations, EACC officials conducted an operation at the Narok County offices, where Odumbe was apprehended while receiving Ksh50,000. She was subsequently taken to the EACC South Rift Regional Office in Nakuru for processing and statement recording.
